Alexsfishin1 781 Posted May 11, 2013 Report Share Posted May 11, 2013 So I headed off to Henley beach with a mate in the morning. We got set up as quickly as possible because we were excited! We used a squidgy lure and smothered it with Sfactor. My mate didn't think we would catch anything because he has never been surf fishing before.The Sp.We started casting out around 10m off the beach. My mate kept doubting me and saying we will never catch anything out here. :pinch: And on 3rd cast, I hook a small st! I guess the Sfactor really did the damage! He was so excited and was going crazy!!! :silly: :S I PROVED YOU WRONG! Ahaha We got a pic. Well, we released it and he changed his sp to the same one I was using. First cast he landed a decent st! It was 22cm. We kept it for our dinner!We carried on with our fishing and switched to bait. We used squid and landed about 6 more st. All too small and were released. We were hoping for some flathead when I stumbled across something that looked familiar! It was Booma's filleted flattie by the looks of it! :woohoo: We had a great days surf fishing!Cheers Alex. Booma 1,360 Posted May 12, 2013 Report Share Posted May 12, 2013 Wasn't my Flattie mate, I'm a catch and release only fisho, unless its for bait species (tommies, trouties and mullet).......Plus I wouldn't leave the carcass on the beach ;)Nice work on the Salmon Trout though!
