projoe 261
About 15 years back a school of yellowfin bream showed up up in the Onkaparinga they hung around all season some of them went 34cms most were under 30 fly fishing for them we could tell when we hooked a yellowfin because they burnt them selves out in the first couple of minutes were the black bream gives it all all the way in. The yellowfin also took the fly more savagely. Those yellowfin could have bred with the blacks & produced hybrids because it has the long anal fin but no the black horizontal lines running from the eye to the tail & i think thats a hybrid what you may have in your photo. I contacted the then fisheries dept at the time & was told they had no interest in this event.
