Place the crab meat pieces in a jar. Leave room by not jamming the jar full.

 

Heat 1/2 water and 1/2 white vinegar with a teaspoon of mixed pickling herbs / spices.

 

Do not let boil, but when it has simmered for a few minutes, fill up the jars, placing a few of the herbs / spices into each jar.

 

Screw the lids on tight, as you go.

 

In the supermarket, you can find a small pack of pickling herb/ spices. ( I use these  when I cannot be bothered with mixing my own )

 

I make my own mix, but that depends on taste. Others may not have the same taste as me.

 

When they cool down, place in the fridge.

 

Leave for at least one week and then try.........YUM.
