outandabout 373
Hi all,saw these reels while I was out and about yesterday, and liked the look of them.......3000 especially. They felt light, and a smooth drive train as well..........good value too. Does anyone use one? Have read a lot online about them, all reviews seem favourable. Cheers in advance. Tristman 22
howdy outandabout, The 3000 is a great little reel I've used it for bream..... And the big angry snapper on plastics 10 to 12 pound braid is perfect. Perfect on a 3 to 6 kg rod The 3000 hasn't got a very strong drag for its size but you can still put a bit of hurt on the bigger fish. outandabout

Rybak 622
If you are looking for reels for bread & butter fish (Including Snapper) then most reels with 5+ ball bearings are pretty good these days. Its about best value for money & what you are targeting. Mulloway, Kingfish is a slightly different scenario with some better quality gear needed but not over the top. Penn gear & the Shimano TLD series are excellent value for money IMO and last a long time if looked after. Overall no big outlays are required unless you have the spare funds. To me if you are happy with a reel & like the way it feels & the price is right for you then just get it. Thats what I do. I dont have time to research forever. Just my opinion. Oh, I do have the smaller version I use for Whiting fishing & catching live bait & am happy with it. Only because I was able to purchase it at mates rates.

Knackers 696
The higher end ones look very similar to the early saltigas. It seems that for all the chinese junk that gets produced some good reels low priced reels do make it.
