FushLups 0
Thinking about getting a T-Curve Tournament 2009 in the 702 Spin for targetting bream etc. Anyone got this rod? I'd be upgrading from a starlo stix that I have sworn by after a solid session on Monday on the mullies and a big horse bream.Your thoughts?

FushLups 0
My starlo stix is amazing, REALLY love that rod, handles just about anything, I can flick plastics/hard body's a country mile and has plenty of grunt, check my coorong post, I pulled in a stomper bream and about 10 hard fighting mullies on it Besides that, plenty of ST's and also snook off the boat.I'm thinking ??? about selling mine, not sure I could part with it though, I love it so much :PKev

Hope ya didnt get conned into paying too much for it locally bro
FushLups 0
You've pulled legal mullies on it? That statement there gives me a great deal of encouragement :)Now, I'll need a nice new shiny reel lol, thinking about the new symetre 2500....
crocka79 0
Uve spent good money on rod why not ure reel as well, personel preference of course. the new stradics and daiwas around $250 are of excellent value and once uve used one ule never look back. u could land legal mullies on a 1-2 kg stick if ya wanted too with a quality reel and drag and patience, and preferably NO SNAGS

crocka79 0
@fushlups i run certate 2000 but bought it at cost price. have landed well over legal snapper on it, and have never had a bird nest from casting braid quadzillion times, As said before better to buy once than trice. sols are good too ;D
FushLups 0
Yeah sounds the goods, I'm thinking of a Sol 2000 or a stella 2500 to match with it..... We'll see. Can't wait to get the rod tho - the 702 XL looks wicked from the pics I've seen of it (I found these pics online) http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/XG9YGB7d__Copy20of20R0018517.JPG[/img] http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/bCQLj7AY__Copy20of20R0018514.JPG[/img] http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/4iRhoqnD__Copy20of20R0018524.JPG[/img] http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/n8xpxfoo__Copy20of20R0018498.JPG[/img]

FushLups 0
Hahahaaaa :icon_lol: excuse my balls up, I meant a "SOL" or a "STRADIC"
crocka79 0
cant go wrong with one of those two bloke ;D the newly designed stradic probably the better, but thats just my personel opinion. better spool design. ive got two of the older model and there goin on 7 years old
FushLups 0
I love the look of the new stradic! For just over a couple of hundred bucks seems like a pretty decent reel. I should stick with Shimano, since my rod is going to be shimano afterall ::)Anyone got the new stradic in the 2500 size?
