Hey FSW if your after a cheaper option, this probably aint the way to go.. For what you would spend on the blank and components, thread, glues etc. You would probably pick up a rod off the rack a heap cheaper. There is even a 15-24kg Livefibre for sale on this site :laugh:

aye,Most of your tackle shops around the place will have your basic eyes, reel seats, grips. Some will have a small supply of blanks.But if your after the option of choosing from a big range and components and blanks etc. Check out therodworks.com, Will have just about anything you could think of there.

Can I add to AC's comments by saying "JUST DO IT"Mate its surprisingly easy to put a stick together. You can even buy complete kits for some rods. Your first stick mightnt be the prettiest, nor the cheapest in your collection, but it will soon become a favourite after catching your first memorable fish from it.Best of luck with it. B)
