Where are the King George whiting

Hi was wondering where people have been catching King George whiting since moving from western port bay (Vic)where i used to catch them all the time and love eating them too i have not caught one single whiting since i moved over hear iam looking for land based spots as i dont have a boat so if anybody can help me that would be great

In summer time try the sand holes in amongst the weed line off of Henley/Grange. These holes have both blue swimmer crabs and King George whiting in them. Also try the tyre reefs at different times of the year.

Been a few in west lakes that are getting close to size,i'd try towpath reserve on the incoming tide,if you live south there are spots off the cliffs that can produce a few if you can cast into some white holes. cheers brenton

Well, right time of year, The only land based place I no of for sure is Outer Harbour rocks. Walk up as far as you can on the beach side then hop over the rocks and fish the outer harbour side. Dawn or dusk on the incomming tide, just don't cast out too far. (burley up too) Just use the lightest sinker possible on a running rig. The bottom is carpeted in them. Only thing is probably 1 in 8 will be legal. Let us know how you do
