the tommy king 0
hey guys, just wondering do bream still bite when the water is flowing fairly fast?
spog777 1
Try to find areas of calm water. If water is fast find eddies or areas out of fast flow as they perfer nice calm water
__matt__ 0
Bream will rarely sit in fast flowing water for any reason but to feed. In terms of finding fish, then yes, slower moving water or eddies are generally easier places to look. But if you find fish in flowing water then have a flick for sure. This is from my experience anyway.
Leethal 1
I agree with matt, as I have found alot of fish in a area that was flowing very fast but there was baitfish and food being pumped down with the flow also. Especially when there are pockets or rocks along the bottom that they can sit in or behind waiting for something to come past before they smash it. But remember if there is no food for them to feed on they will be rarely there
afishyfish 4
Another tip worth keeping in mind is how water of different levels of salinity forms layers. The more dense salty water will tend to sit in deeper holes when a stream/river's in flood, meaning that's where you'll be sometimes more likely to find the bream But then again, thats fishing, so no guarantees either
