  1. Oh !! I'm second. Look out, second doesnt count. I'm gunning for first :drink:
  2. Aarron can ya post up the top ten again please. Im sure ive moved up a few notches lol. Also tell snapperhead to pull his head in. His unsettling tactics are unfair. I can see him dropping down the ladder while i'm moving up. I think he owes me a beer or two
  3. What you laughing at, just because your pretty boys won. Your invited around my place and Boof will be your host. He pours a mean cocktail
  4. I'm also going to buy the flourescent fishing shirt It looks lite an colourful, orange and other bits XL. Its looking like a good luck charm.
  5. I finally got my Wild Coast Fix !! I'm going to brave enough and now say that this mag is a much better buy than SA Angler.I've been a SA Angler addict, but to have another lovely mag on the scene that is so own to earth has stolen my heart. And also to know where Shane has come from. ( I also know where Shane Mensforth has come from ).......Two Shanes lol !!!I think SA Angler is starting to appease out of our state. And blossom out, which is not my taste. Shane Murts is still producing a hard core south aus mag, with all the trimmings. And a chance for the likes of us to put our pics in his
  6. I'm moving up, up and up. Stop me you plebs
  7. Not this year Fishie, the pens that the big snapper used to be caught are gone. Set the cat amongst the pidgeons.Thats why the Whyalla boys did so well yet again this year. Mudbanks, Fairway Banks yada yada. Rip produced one or two 13 kilo fish. I'm impressed with amount of 12 - 13 kilo fish on the board. There was a healthy breeding time way back, and i reckon our snapper fishery is very healthy. Very healthy. This lot of 13 kilo fish will be 14 - 15 kilo fish in two three years. The snapper comp is looking good.Didnt i try to guide you yourhookedfish
  8. I hear so much hate about our snapper in the eating. So i'll just put this up as a simple way to enjoy our beloved fish.Snapper can be very gamey, so if you dont treat the fish correctly, it wont taste nice. As soon as you land a snapper, it goes straight on a seawater ice slurry, you should have this organised way before you go fishing, if your worth your salt. Clean your fish also in sea water. So you have some beautiful slabs of snapper fillet, or steaks. Dust them in plain flour. Then dip them in egg, then dip them again in Nostimini mixed with flour and fry very lightly. Very lightly fry t
  9. Bring it on lol........keep going to my local news agent and it aint there !!!!!
  10. Go suck a fat one you lot, i got three wrong. Which isnt too bad first up. I'm usually a slow starter and a good finisher. Its not good news if i'm around 100th after round one lol.Its a marathon not a sprint. I'm gunning for your asses !!!
  11. Yea each to their own Brent. A lot of people say that. Its a fish you have to look after when caught. Straight on an ice slurry kills them humanely and keeps them fresh as a daisy. I love the mildly gamey taste. Same as Tommys, if its fish, its gotta taste like fish
  12. Thanks strike & hook and thanks for the sponsors for prizes. I reckon i got up around the second or third spot last season then slipped back. So look out, the scaley one is gunning for a win.
  13. Absolutey love my snapper, beer battered or crumbed. Followed closey by flathead in the same way. Whiting is way off my list, no real taste when fresh. I'd rather tommy rough or sweep over whiting anyday.
  14. Cant wait, i sent a photo to Shane of the snapper in my avatar. Not sure if it will make next issue. Great mag, look forward to every release.
  15. Get to it you Crows hand baggers !!!!
  16. Very nice fish, beautiful deep colouring.
  17. Its still 99 bucks. He makes sure with you its up and running, and you like it before you pay. An extra cost for updates once a year is 25 bucks, which includes all program updates, improvements and tides. It used to be free, but he has to pay royaltys and such so still very much worth it.snake, if your a keen fisherman with plenty of gps marks, you'll love the program. Knowing exactly on a map where all your way points / drops are. Also logging your catches for future reference.
  18. Well there ya go, all ordered !! Just been on the phone to Ken, and one will be in the mail shortly. Dont even have to pay until its all up and running. What a fantastic bloke, very helpful. Gave me a stack full of hints and tips.Pays to be a member on strike hook, thanks boys day out
  19. And ??More info required, cheers mate
