Haven't actually purchased yet. I was thinking of getting it from Ray & Annes's (not sure if I'm allowed to say that here). They have it for $129. Cheapest o/s price I've seen is jpat. Including postage it's about $95 from them. $35 is a reasonable amount of money but I try to purchase locally if possible. Jobs here, money in the community blah blah. It comes with a shirt and cap from Ray and Anne's too. That has to be worth at least $7.50!

Hmm, I thought there would be at least a couple. Ah well, it hasn't seemed to temper my desire for an egi rod. It's just difficult to know which rods have some genuine R&D put into them and which are just trying to cash in on the fad. Anyone know anything about Major Craft rods?

Hi, I'm not really looking to start an argument, I just wanted to know what proportion of squid fisherpeople used sqecialist gear. After a recent trip to Yorkes targeting only squid, I really got into it and now look at me, looking up egi rods on Japanese websites. Thanks, David.
