Was in there last Saturday,nothing much to choose from in what's left.mainly good for smaller species

For the local guys,this spot works well

Haven't fished for them since 7 years ago,if i recall 3/0 circle hook.(could be wrong?) Bait was suspended about 60-70cm,but i will stress a small light pencil float just enough to float as snook are finicky and any resistance they'll drop the bait.All caught on those calm smooth seas evenings

Always watch others catching them as snook will accumulate in a certain area,so once you know where they are then you can have a crack at them. We would target then at night with a small chunk of bait exposed hook under a light pencil float I should add that it was at a darker part of the jetty with a weedy bottom,they didn't seem to get caught anywhere else on that jetty

I think for most including myself it's all about the enjoyment of hooking up to a fish,plus it takes you outside away from home and work.Most people should have a hobby or sport in their lives to keep the body and mind active. Plus it can be a family day for some

I remember many years ago when talking to a ex retired pro fisherman,he said the two most important pieces of equipment in fishing was the hook and line. These two things attach you to the fish and they need to be good quality products,and it will always depend on how good your knot is. The next part is the rod and that will be used to cast and to give you some control in guiding the fish back into the net,plus it acts as a spring relief for the line when under strain. The last and most least important in all this is the reel,all that does is hold the line and gives you a drag to play

Purchased no name hooks of ebay put them in a vice and struggled trying to straighten them with pliers.So they're not all bad. Hooks ,line and knots are a priority before rods and reels
