what pick up tommies

the other one for tommys that i like is 5 to 10 grm gold halco's not free but easy especially with berley in water

a bit off topic but i saw a couple from WA catching tommies down yorkes using a float with 2 hooks under with small pieces of green drinking straw cut on an angle on the hooks just sittting on not hooked on they had dug a hole in the float and packing berley in therethey just cast out and slow retrieve and were getting tommysps know what its like to be broke not working at the moment so have heaps of fishing time but have to scrape up cash for bait berley etc so giving anything cheap a go atmgood luckjustin

alll clear now hardly any weed either me and the little mantook my new rod out to give it a trymanaged a couple of legal mullet lots of ST's tommys etc rods not the best to whippy and mono but reel feels niceafter fishing with braid for a little while i dont know why i would use mono again i even had a flatty on the line and couldnt tell thought it was weedoh well glad to have my beach back giutters only moved about 50 meters and the mullet are still there waitng for mecheers guys

i mainly fish port willy as you prob can guessbut its all washed out and heaps of weed murky water the tide was up so far last night i was thinking of fishing of the cliffthinking about heading to the onk I know i can find shelter there but i get a bit bored of the onk at times

thanks i should look into the chook pellets would be cheaper than bought stuff do ya need to ad tuna oil or do they work ok straightim always using anything i can find crusts from the kids lunch cooked rice soaks up tuna oil and works great toand now ican add fish guts too getting stinkier by the minute :stir:my local deli was chucking out loaves of bread today ;D so i grabed a few of them added some guts and oil, so now ive got a killer batch for tomorow morning :fishing:at the moment as soon as my berley runs out so do the fish so im going through a bitcheers guysjustin

ive been catching heaps of these small 20/24cm whiting looking fishthey are yellowish and kind of see throughI dont think they are yellow fin as ive caught them beforeany ideas ill try and get a photo but dont really like taking camera with me too much sandany help would be great what size can i keepcheers justin

a freind told me not to clean fish on the beach when others are fishing as it puts of the same fish in the waterso if i catch a load of mullet and i mince up the guts and frames and put in my berley mix will this attract mullet or put them offcheers justin

you can catch a feed at pt willy at the moment heaps of mullet a few whiting and there have been some decent salmon at sunsetsaw a huge school go past but too far out on thursgood luckjustin

I prob lose 1 every 5 lure trips these days lost plenty when i startedi stick to floating lures now and tend to lose lessmy first H/B trip had a $20 HB cast it out wound it straight to the bottom and lost him{ in have learnt now}took my brother and son fishing and lost 6 salmon lures in a sesh but it wasnt me who lost them

the wa\y the almanac works is basically the good days are 2 days before the full moon and the day after the full moonand there are three good days after the full moon after the new moonjthere are other average better days but not as good other days in the monththurs night and fri morning were rated as not so good but i got 20 mulletso you can never rely on it to much but it gives you a good idea i try to plan trips away around the three black days after the new moon and that seems to worksat was a black day how did others go ?i couldnt escape the familycheers justin
