  1. lol back in the day my father and grandfather use to catch them up to a meter all the time. from memory around blanchtown area. but ill ask him to comfirm area. so they do exists well definitely use to. 😉
  2. i will definitely be going lighter at the moment im using 10pound braid 8 pound leader i will drop to 6pnd braid and 4pd leader im thinking. ill give it ago friday hopefully ot increases my chances.
  3. im 500% they where big carp they looked like they where sick. but carp they defo where. its got me stunned like a big mullet though ☺
  4. long story short i was flicking soft plastics at westlakes today. got bord went for a walk near the rocks on scullys reserve. flicked the plastics for a giggle. to my surprise i looked down it was approx ankle deep maybe a tad deeper and there where 4 (CARP) ONE ALMOST A METERE LONG... they where just sitting there. i thought do i grab my phone take a pic or fick a lure. silly me started flicking and scared them away first cast. im really confused as they where definitely big big carp. but i thought they only live in fresh water?? surely they cant survive in saltwater?? or

  6. cheers jaydos i just cam back from the lake and i tried a power blade first with no luck at all then i moved under the bridges to escape the rain. i changed to (crank a crab) amd just drifted it past the bridge. lucky i picked up a small bream. that was.it. last cast i hit a flounder to my surprise lol droped him half way up 😬 never in my life did i think a toy looking crab would work 😉 i must down size my braid as im using 10 pound braid cheers forthe help and good luck on your mully hunting ☺
  7. hey guys so ive decided after many a yr of fishing land based and offshore chasing whiting and snapper its time for a change. ive decided to take the plunge and give power blades and soft plastics a go. two places this week ill try will be westlakes to warm up😯 and meningie if i end up down there. any advice on using piwer blades in these areas would be greatly appreciated. and now for my final silly question.... with the blades is it best on a swivel or direct to braid??? im assuming small swivel but unsure. cheers kk

  10. xmas is hear and I've come across 3 kilo of crayfish (fresh). one is 2 kilo the other 1 kilo. my question is has anyone got any ideas on presentation in regards to making a crayfish platter for the family?? not only do i want it too taste great i would love it too look even better. any ideas would be very appreciated. keep in mind im a fishermen not cheif 😕 cheers KS
