Hi.I've had the Avet sx and an MXL.Also got Saltiga 20\40. and 2 x 30SaltistPersonally I'd go the Saltist. Unless the Avet have improved.You crank on the drag. the whole reel binds.Which is why I unloaded mine.Some love 'em.but not me.and for bottom Bashing\Jigging.You're better off with star over lever.Or. Save up a bit more and buy a Saltiga\Accurate. O\Seas.For near the same price.

Hi.You can't really have a "Jigging" Popper" Combo.They're completely different applications.Jigging is straight up\down with a hunk of metal hanging off the end. Up to 600g.Popping is casting as far as you can. and dragging back to you on surface. as fast as you can.One rod will not do both satisfactoralyI have 5 jigging rigs. 100gm to big. Rods vary from 4 ft 10 to 6 ft.Popping rods would normally be around the 7 ft \7 ft6in range.4.9-1 speed on Jigs. 5.6\6-1 plus speed on poppers.Saltiga surf (eggbeater?) should be ok for popping with a decent rod. Hi.I've got a few Live Fibres. Mainly strokers and 7 ft 15\24 for rocks.Also a lovely little 5 ft 8 6kg Classic Barra. Which I use with a Daiwa SW 102 (For Barra with 30lb braid)Magic little stick.As a stroker type you won't get much better off the shelf.But they no good for Jigging.
