  1. Haha - I originally thought you had made a typo - then I googled "Snopes" and it looked very familiar

Taking a Swig of "Bream Juice" (diet coke) works well for one angler I know. Repeating the mantra "Cmoooooooonnnnnnn Snapaaahhhh" in the most irritating singing voice you can muster is a guarantee. Another angler I know does special wrist exercises in the morning before every session. Ar
  3. I love superstitions and observe as many as I can - But I reckon if you think banana's are bad luck - you probably also experience your share of "bad luck" when Banana's arent onboard.
  4. Common explanations include: When top-heavy ships of earlier eras would sink, precious little other than the bananas they’d carried would be found floating on the surface, thereby leaving some to conclude conveyance of the fruit itself had led to these naval mishaps. Spiders, snakes, and other poisonous vermin living among bananas carried in the hold would, on long haul trips, expand their horizons by infesting other parts of the ship. 5. Gave the Sliding ones a run at Port Ferry in the weekend - bread crumb and tuna oil in the cage - and chicken chunks marinated in tuna oil and salt for bait. Got trevally, king george whiting, bream and mullet. As soon as the burley runs out - the bights dry up - I'll be giving it another crack.
  6. The gars cant resist so maybe they're trying to protect stocks
  7. That looks awesome - yeah if it keep your hands away from half the toothies you come into contact with, then it was worth the effort
  8. Its usually just bread crumbs , water and fish oil
  9. Yeah you wouldnt want to be out spinning up some salmon when that sort of hail hits - you have to jump out into the surf with your tackle bag over your head
  10. Yeah even with comprehensive car cover - theres still a $650 excess for hail damage - they're going to replace the bonnet and bang away at the roof to get it back in order
  11. Yeah my old floats were a bit big - and there isnt a beast that crawls, walks, flys or swims, that can resist my berley mix
  12. While I'm at it - I thought I'd have a go at some mini floating berley cages
  13. Also rigged up some sliding ones
  14. Yeah those carp anglers, sitting for days without a bight, dont want a dull hook to be the reason they didnt land any - But when Diamond files are $8 - thats what I'll stick with
  15. Yeah my "something" is a nail in the desk - Means you can apply pressure to both leader and tag end while tightening - but in spots where you cant whack a nail in - the tightening hooks will have to do
  16. Also twisted up some berley cages this arvo
  17. Can also use the scissors as hook puller and clear tube over dowel for tightening sticks
  18. Yeah these weather extremes are getting old
