Some of you may remember that I was hoping to grab 20 or so carp after the Torrens fishing comp (which we all know never happened)... but the school I'm chaplain at is still after around 20 fish to disect of any species. carp are the obvious choice but other species would work too...DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY CARP OR OTHER SPECIES FOR ME TO TAKE FOR YR 10 SCIENCE CLASS???no pressure.I will be in town tomorrow (sunday 29th arvo) at the museum with my wife & daughters) but can catch up later and get them out of a freezer too.So if you can help, let me know!cheersMatt

  11. I always used to get my aquarium filled with Algae... UNTIL my aquarium guy in mt barker said my plants need 8 hours of artificial light... no more no less. since that day I've barely had to clean the green stuff off!!! best advice I ever got and took lots of hours away from cleaning! :woohoo:

Bolivians with one of my big gourami's chilling behind it.one more fish I'll get is a green severum...but I'm hearing conflicting reports... some say severum when they grow eat all your other fish and others say they are placid as... ideas or experience??anyways I'm excited... have a few other fish in there (bristlenose, siamese, hoplo catfish) but they didn't pose for a shot lol :side:

  15. sorry computer acting up will try my fave fish... my golden severum, he/she will turn huge & golden (google it) but at moment is tiny & white...

  18. painted background blue... filled up and collected cool rocks (pebbles) and sat for two weeks while away (mostly running a snow trip as a chaplain)
  19. I know its not as cool as a native tank, but was within my financial reach. have upgraded my aquarium to 4foot' and heaps deep... here's a few pics...in the shop with my oldest daughter...
