  3. Most memorable is definately catching an olive sea snake on a cockle in the marina at robe. It was a real quiet night and that snake sure got shit moving. Favourite moments are plenty and to hard to single 1 out. Many with mates and many with kids, lets hope theres many more to come. Like this post VB

  5. Not the biggest ever but my boys first and my favourite pic. He has, as you can see, a broken arm and for some reason he decided to tie the shoelace i use to tie my rod bag around his head. I reckon he looks like some ferel living on a deserted island catching sambos in his teeth. It is the fish that hooked him on fishing so i love the pic for many reasons

  7. While I like the odd flick for brimbo I prefer flatees myself. However I regard both very similar in that their both caught on light gear and give you a good fight.Like any fish they require some experience. I dont know of anyone who can wander into the local tackle shop, buy the latest trend in lure, wander to a bit of blue, flick and BINGO! it just doesnt happen like that. Wheteher its mullys, bronzies or mullet its all about the hunt. We fish because we love the chase, the challenge, the study, the experience. Its relative. 20lb fish on 20lb line or 2lb fish on 2lb line, its the same thing.

  16. Nairne Cricket Club end of season fishing trip.Only 7 of the boys available due to the footy season overlap but a bloody good time had by all.We all met at Tailem on Friday morning, eskys and cars full to the gunnels. Quick chat and off we go.Perks takes the lead in his Navara, Pedro just behind him in his bum kickin Patrol, Cookie next in the trusty old Rodeo and me at the rear in the second Navara.2 stops on the way include buying some mullet at the red van and supply stop at the roadhouse. **As a side note i would like to ask at this point that if anyone is heading down to Salt Creek, plea
  17. how come fishing is so expensive? ie bait, equipment, petrol :S how come if i can afford the bait i cant afford the time?what ever happened to turnin to ya best mate and sayin "wana go fishn?" and an hour later you were on some pretty s.a beach watchin the sun sink behind a wave? now it seems to take 2 weeks prep and bull to head down for a good fish. you gotta work around the kids sport and school and when ya best mate can convince the missus shed be better off alone this weekend ( she hates fishn and camping )agggh, i dunno just seems it used to be easier.maybe i appreciate it more these d
  18. Im ashamed to tell you all about this but what the hell!My old man and i were havn a general chit chat bout fishn the other night, you know, remember that time etc etc..it occured to me during that convo that it must be at least 20 years since hes been fishn  I decided to buy him 1 of those cheap kmart surf combos and take him down salty. He was very exited and the night we picked was a good 1 with good moon, good tide, 5am-ish and not a fart of wind. While were gettn ready i ask the old man if he got some bait while i was at work like i asked and he says "of coarse, i got a bag of cockle
