sounds like a rod breaker to me. Wire from the reel to a big angry shark there isn't going to be any give. I'd like to see a bream caught on wire! i have enough trouble getting them to bite on fluoro 6 lb!

I don't know about any trolley reef. There are plenty of lumps under the foot bridges. The road bridges are too shallow to make a trolley reef.CheersSwamp

Not bad! i am finding it a bit hard to swallow the coorong story! 59 cm bream! By the way it reads the smallest they caught was 46 or 48cm.

I have heard of a guy who does it on surf beaches for salmon. I have done it with gulps for bream but that is basically bait fishing

I have hooked a one corner jaw trolling a 40gm metal jig. The baby ones in the port often nibble on my gulps.

One of the reasons i got my kayak was to be able to access all of the lake. It is pretty annoying when the residents get stuck in to you for fishing, which is well within your rights. If they are harassing us can we complain about them? We should take some 'council cops' for a kayak fish and see the abuse we cop. Most of my contact with residents is positive. It was pretty funny when i got one of my best bream, these kids were watching me and they ran inside to tell on me for catching their bream. Browns Beach out of a school of sambos, 76 cm gave me the fight of my life. thought it was a foul hooked sambo until it took a second run to the end of the lagoon and then another right back to the other end.Pretty excited as you can seereleased to fight another dayCheersSwamp
