  1. oh forgot to mention the "Buzzing" from your out board could have been the "overheating buzzer" if you got weed on your water intake and the motor got a little hot the buzzer will sound some motors even drop the revs right down so you can't hurt anythingthe weed could have dropped of your skeg and thats why it was fine the next day, just a thought anywaycheers chuck

  3. well all with this years OnkaStompaCompa 5 being announced i thought I'd stick up a short movie i made at the 2007 OnkaStompaCompa3 day for those that have never seen it or want to revisitit gives you a good idea how the first part of the day goes, the full movie with the presentations is just too long, so sit back and enjoy the sweet sounds of "Jess" and the antics of those that attendedi couldn't make OnkaStompaCompa4 but will try again this year to capture OnkaStompaCompa5 in all it's glorycheers ChuckPs, might just have to put a short together of Pedro and Gaffer getting the hair cut for t
  4. err that was all i had that weekend as i had run out of what i normally use hahaha, :-[ at that time i was using 4lb, 6lb and 10lb Bass Hard Fluro for all my different fishing situations, but of late i have changed over to Nitlon Fluro and i find it very good too, again a bit cheaper than the Bass Hardif i was fishing for that mully I'd have at least my 10lb leader on and my 2-4Kg rod with 6lb Braid, ;)i was Bream fishing at the time i caught that fish haha But it just goes to show what can be landed on light gear ;Dcheers chuck
  5. first up Fireline is "Not" a braid, it is a "Fused" line, which means its a fibre that is fused togetherBraid is just that Fibres that have been braided together and usually is a lot stronger than fused line, hence thinner for the given strengthi have used Braids for years now and have used the Daiwa, Finns, Bass Hard and Nitlon, i liked them all and they all had there good/bad pointsi stuck with the Bass Hard for a few years as i liked it the best, even though it too has it's problems. anyway after hearing a lot about the Nitlon and with the Bass Hard selling at $70, the Nitlon at $40 i thoug
  6. completely wrong : Fireline Crystal is just the latest Fireline out, it's clear colour is really all that is different from the pink line and you can see it fine in the water, it is meant to be harder for the fish to see this line not you it cast just as good as the older Fireline too, even better if you use the lighter weightsone word of warning when spooling up with any Fireline/Braid, "DO NOT" over fill ya spool, you really need to keep it well below the lip, much lower than when you spool with mono, or you will end up with a big tangle of a messalso watch out that when you have cast, you

  11. as i answered your last post, 6" Camo Sand Worm for me, it has proved it's self time and time again, i have caught more fish and more variety of fish on this bait than any othercheers chuck
  12. me i like the Berkley Gulp 6" and 2" sand worms, camo and motor oil colours as my best all round go to bait, i have also had a lot of luck lately with the Berkley 2" baby shrimp and wouldn't hesitate loading one on first upyou need to have a few different baits in the bag as you just never know what mood the fish will be in, some days they won't take anything you offer themthere are many brands of SP's out there and on there day they all work, what ever you chose you need to have confidence that it will work and don't give up after half hour if things are not going your way, it usually takes a
  13. I'm right handed and for years always wound the reel with my right hand and held the rod in my left, many years back i tried to swap and hold the rod in my right and wind with my left, it felt awkward and i didn't like it so went back to right hand windwhen i got into soft plastics a few years back now, i soon got sick and tired of casting with my right, then swapping hands so i could then wind with my right. After you have put out a 100 or more casts i soon got tired of keep swapping hands, so again gave the "Other Way" a gonow i wouldn't dream of trying to cast and wind with my right hand an
