why not tell us who ? so we all can be wary of thembrent

Would not need too put who on here mate. The word would get around anyway. All good things come too thoughs who wait. And if you do the wrong thing by someone either KARMA will get you or the person you sh@t on will. You would proberly want Karma too get you i would think.
  2. im lost... cant fish the snapper' date=' and being landbased doesnt leave me with much options...gar tommy and squid about it, with the odd ST. but will concentrate on some squid bait tonight...gotta get my fishing fix in....[/quote']Ifel what ur saying.I look at the snapper ban to get boat serviced.and general maintiance on fishing gear.November is also the month i fill my freezers with bait.Which i get from land base fishing and boat fishing.Plus several feeds of blue crabs. And the shells and guts of cooked crabs get made into berly. Its avery good snapper berly on its own.Bring on december.
  3. i was wathching out of the blue a couple of months agoon channel nine an they were on a boat fishing for whiting when they cuaght a fiarly small whiting (10 15cm)an siad that mr angelakis would use that in a special dish he makes as he can keep it due to his commercial licence so makes you wonder what really happens in the commercial fishing industry:unsure:

I dont think he can if he is recreational fishing. But i have heard years ago a pro netter can keep under size fish caught in nets. As fish caught in netts survival rate is very low.I dont know if this is true or not.
  4. the prawn trawlers do the most damage by far. no one should blame the pro's. the prawnies basically rape the bottom of our gulf' date=' taking everythng in its way. all the small snapper, whiting, squid and all the other sealife would struggle to come back in numbers.... thats just my opinion[/quote']I agree i used too fish wallaroo alot.I used too fish north about 30km out. Some nights out there the amount of trawlers was crazy. They would have too have been scraping 100s of kms of ocean floor.Thats not good for natures system.
  5. Im hoping to latch onto a 45cm yellowfin whiting this summer. I would say 50cm but not even sure if thats possible??I am really thinking that 45cm though is a real possibility!!Im going to go through a few packs of tubeworms this year.I will also be targeting and hoping to land a a personal best red too this summer. So Im hoping to hit the 25lb mark this year.;) ;) :)

It is possiable mate a guy at my work caught a few over 50cm last year north of adelaide.

Oh & never mind the bread, but some wine would be nice. Amen
That just cracked me up.I couldnt stop laughing for about 5mins.
  7. Those containers Dubs is talking about at ardrossan are very close to jetty.they didnt fall off a ship they were put there.I have a mate who plays footy for ardrossan. He has that mark and will not give it too me.He has fished it twice in last two weeks.First trip he landed 48 leagal snapper. Next trip 5 days later boat limit of KGs,22 squid,18 snapper that was a 3 hour trip. H

  8. I use several local tackle stores.salisbury tackle world kym, dubs, and staff are great.big rob at the dorsil fin what gentleman he is. if i go there i end up staying there longer than i intend too.he has so many stories too tell.st kilda, tackle and tucker north haven, known colin from when he used too work at salisbury tackle box.all little fish in a big pond.i support the aussie battler.

  9. i used to live at lock on the eyre peninsula.so i used to fish locks well often.even before the stairs were built.i remember when the farmer locked the gate to the road that goes there because people would not clean up after themselves.that was about 18 years ago. dont know if farmer still owns the land.if he does maybe he should lock it again.but then locals will suffer who are not the ones who mess it up.

  10. driving home from work on friday from the port.car load of p plate punks decided too unload there hungry jacks rubbish out the window.then there half full cups of coke.which got caught in there tail wind and sprayed coke all over me bonnet and windscreen.tried too catch up with them but the old 80 series just aint fast enough.cost $5 at the car wash to get coke off. no respect for this wonderful country we live in.or for other peoples property.

  11. i have seen him at ardrossan heaps of times.he dont get them all the time.just like i dont.i caught over 60 snapps in 2 trips in two weeks .then next 2 trips got 2.but i dont kill everyone i catch .there is nothing wrong with catch and release .dubs was on one of those trips we took home i think 4 fish each released at least 8.limit your catch dont catch your limit.and just have fun with ya mates.tight lines....graydog.
