Was'nt the law changed that you can no longer use chicken as crab bait? If so, then why don't they just fine the people doing it and take away their gear? or is it a case of dont let the truth stand in the way of a good story?

Still believe in catch and release if I dont intend eating my catch or using it for bait. Killing just for the sake of it is just plain stupid and then the problem of removing the carcass is left to someone else. Looks like we are all in agreement on this one.

If you are talking the new marina and ramp in the Port river, they have no washdown facilities there.

Was down there today to have a look at what has been reported. Rigging area is now in the carpark, the old rigging area is half fenced off with only enough room to turn and line up for the ramp. Washdown bay is obscured with a stack of pontoons ready for the new marina extention. Coast Guard was closed and no-one was around their base. On a Sunday not good for the boaties out there. Looks like Sea Rescue will have to patrol a much larger area now.

Did a search for Fishing SA.Was trying to find current address for another site that is having problems for last month now. This one came up and have not left.

Hi kipper, welcome to the new site. I have had the same problems with that site. I sent their management an email asking what is going on but have not hada reply yet. I have noticed that most of the members on this site were on fishSA so this seems to be much the same as far as info goes. Just hope the upity moderators do not get a hold on here and spoil it like they did there.John.
