  4. Dad and I are taking they kayaks down the Onk Friday afternoon we're targeting salmon trout, bream and mulloway. where would be a likely place to target them, somewhere nearby to launch and what lures to use. cheers
  5. Cheers guys, it was caught interstate on live mud eye. my biggest freshwater fish :cheer: the fish were very fat in this lake. we also caught another 2kg brown and a 1.8kg rainbow

I was down that way from Sat-Mon. fished the Normanville beach and then Bungala river for a dount saturday. on sunday i got dad to drop me off at second valley to try redeem my performance from the day before, the first 4 hours caught ziltch then i fished a patch of weed with a paternoster and was into a small weedy whiting with an outstanding green colours through it. then a puffer after him caught a few horseshoes leatheries and a few zebra fish all released unharmed. good fun being out of the house and wetting a line
  13. Yeah the mullet seem to be around and in good sizes as you mentioned, great day to wade out and catch a few fish
  14. Dad and I went down between Largs and Semaphore last night and caught about 10 undersized salmon trout and 20 mullet over 21cm. no YFW unfortunately still good fun catching bait
  15. a variety, mine was caught on a mullet fillet, dads was on a white bait and his mates was on a pilly cube. very nice surprise

  23. hey all, i bought a new diawa aird reel 2000 size and a pflueger trion 1-3kg 7' rod to match, i'm planing to use it for bream, salmon trout and maybe schoolies on plastics and hardbodies. i have a budget of about $40. either 4lb or 6lb is the weight i want to fish, is it's not too much to ask, i'd like reasoning for recommendations, cheers
