the ground to the left is 6+ foot lower than the river on the right and only has 50-100 mm to come over and flood the lawn area

this is the view from our lower shed the water is all from seepage at the moment the photo above is of what used to be a 6 ft stairway down to the river bank below so the original water level is about 10 foot lower than where it is now..

yea its crazy where we are its only 50-100mm from going over thebanks and flooding the lower flats where we are its weird to be standing on the flats and watching the boats come in higher than my head if ya get what i mean hahaha

its not an issue for me either as when i know im heading out i hit chart plot to guide me back, so unless i hit it on the way out (always possible) i wont be hitting it on the way back in but there are some newer to boating we'll say that either dont have this function, and even with the spot light its bloody hard to see, eg have a go at this go out at night get in the general area of the pole turn of ya sounder and try find the pole (bastard or black) its not easy..

is it just me that thinks this pole should also have a light on it i can think of at least 3 nights ive been sitting out there watching my burley trail and watched someone nearly hit he thing at full noise and be none the wiser..and yea yea i know when its dark ya slow down and yadayadayada but even going slow its gonna bloody hurt :pinch: :pinch:

i feel i may be ridiculed for saying this but who cares its what i think net fishing of any kind should be banned from all waters as it is impossible to controll your catch, i know prawns cant be caught any other way,so what dont catch them then how can any single thing be allowed that destroys so much and has no control..long lines at least they can only catch what goes to them not just rape and scrape ya way through an enviroment and hope you get what you are after, i can guarantee you if the damage they do was visible to the naked eye it would be banned a long time ago but because it cant b

so it was the crab boat was it,, drifting in between the blokes fishing on the semi reef presumably dropping pots amongst the other boats (nice guy) is this bloke a member of this site because everytime someone posts on here that they got a feed i see his pots there the next time out :whistle: :whistle: by the way got my boat limit of crabs 100nm north of wedge island yesterday

exactly what i thought dubs and to make it worse from where i was sitting it looked like he was trying to drift semi reef while dodging all the other boats i was going to head out and get a closer look at the name but figured why bother i cant name him anyway haha im sure there would be some other strike hookers that saw the same thing today from close up,semi reef looked like myers car park today but norma only had 2-3 on her...
