Rickster 0
Any truth in this sayingWhen the wind is in the east,Then the fishes bite the least; When the wind is in the west,The fishes bite the best; When the wind is in the north,Then the fishes do come forth; When the wind is in the south,It blows the bait in the fishes mouth,
Murphysegg 31
I've heard a few die hards quote the East is least part, & don't bother to wet a line . They've even said they take no notice of myth of poor fishing during dodge tides & just change their tactics, but the Easterly switch off is intriguing. There must be some science behind it ? Jack. 10
Haha everytime he catches a fish we say..."what's the watch saying mate? How many fish are lit up?"I've heard some of them wind sayings before, but don't know what truth there might be to any of it... Especially wind from the east fishing the least, because an easterly gives you a great boost to run out tides at outerharbor and st kilda... In winter, this is killa for the salmon trout :)I guess if you wanna get the boat out, any 20knot wind is gunna suck... Regardless of direction
