afishyfish 4 Posted March 14, 2011 Report Share Posted March 14, 2011 First two would be Cowfish mate Third, usually called a rock Cod, but a wrasse for sure Fourth is hard to see properly to be sure Fifth would be a Sweep, and last looks to be a weedy whiting You got a good variety there ! CrikeyMikey 0 Posted March 14, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 14, 2011 Spot-on Rick, I caught #3, #4 & #5 (one after the other) whilst fishin for Salmon last year at Butlers - I had some idea what #4 & #5 were but just wanted some confirmation. I had no idea on #3.The others were caught this week on my trip to Ardrossan (#6) & Wallaroo (#1 & 2)#6 – looked like a whiting & had yellowish fins so assumed it was yellowfin whiting at first, but could see from a book that it had a different shaped tail (hence adding this photo as well)#1 & #2 – I have absolutely NFI what these are.
