Gday.Has anyone fished the area between the breakwater and stanvac jetty? I understand there is a 400m exclusion zone around the jetty. I fished in there a few years ago and managed a heap of squid which got me thinking maybe the snapper might like to hunt in there also....Any advice or tips?

So have you fished that specific area? You know that little area i mentioned in the first post?Boat fishing Brenton. I know some large flathead are available from the shore there.

Not anywhere near the jetty. A dude I know fished there, for Mullies, caught nothing, got caught and fined $1200.00 for being inside the 400m exclusion zone.

Im sure its not a new idea but i used google earth to mark the 400 and then load that mark to the gps. Thats a pretty steep fine!

Yeah it is steep as. I have heard the odd rumour about Mullies and Kings in there at certain times of the year. Google Earth is a great tool. I dunno what security is like personally. The dude I know could be talking sh*t too.
