Land based or from a boat Tutty ?Boat based opens up more areas for you since so much of the port is closed off nowadays :S :whistle: Basically try creek mouths on an outgoing tide, or any structure you can fins, such as drop offs into deeper water, bridge pylons, wharfs etc hopefully you can get some more detailed info than this :)

im land based what bout in front oof birkinhead tvern pub is that deep there

not deep there but at the corner under the new bridge is deep. also further around behind the tafe is also deep. can fish straight down with big bean sinker and a shitty. they get them there still if you put in the time. also believe or not a pillie on ya hook does just as good if they around. goodluck. :boat:

Big northerly is goin to blow on Saturday and blow right out into a big westerly by Sunday with showers too :ohmy: The weather may well end up determining your location mate. Depending on what time you plan to fish you might want to check the forecast cos they reckon that wind is set to howl by the middle of Sunday..... But hey it only means there will be less competition for that big mully you're after :)I'll be out on Saturday morning after a cricket score of salmon trout..... B) srick.are you suggesting under a float with the trace/sinker about a meter off the bottom ?Similar rigs seem pretty popular around the Port
