sirwaxxalot 1
I went on s shopping spree at ray and annes the other day, needing lures and a leader. Couldnt find any sunline vhard so I picked up some of this stuff in the 4lb breaking strain. I found it very easy to break, on a few occasions tying a new leader on it would snap as I was tightening the double uni knot. Question being was I being too strong arm for it, or has anyone else had problems with this product? It snapped on the line by the way, not at the knot.
__matt__ 0
I used a spool for running 3lb straight through (comes on 150yd spools I think? Was a while ago now anyway...) and it was ok but not great. Pretty prone to line burn and I would have to retie knots pretty often. Supple, but not durable. Not sure if the leader is a different hardness, but if its the same as the straight through stuff I wouldn't be using it as leader...V hards great but so expensive, just stick to fc rock can't go wrong. protactic 0
I use the Gek and nothing else..... Just refine your double uni.@Matt...... Bruce has leader specific and straight thru on the shelf.Leader comes in 50m spools and is a smaller package.Persist mate...... It's great leader.
sirwaxxalot 1
Yep its the 50 yard spool of leader. Words of wisdom there mate, maybe my knot tying does need improving. Seems like a nice bit of line to work with, just had me stumped why it was breaking with not alot of force.
FreShIe-FisHeR : D 0
i use it all the time in 5lb and the key for me is to put abit of saliva on the knot before fastening
