I reckon i saw you out there after christmas MCA, the dreds are reminding me. I used a blade for 2 days and didnt snag up once. 1 blade did the damage and I was very happy with that. Berkley big eye blade 50mm brown with lighter brown stripes and a red eye. And if you do lose one its not too bad as you can get a twin pack for 16 bucks at tackleworld.

Jack. reacted to a post in a topic: Hindmarsh Island. worth taking a tinny? what's the Land Based Options like??

Yeah sugars is on hindmarsh island Luke others have said though Lau children at mundoo channel it's a better ramp its on the same road to sugars. Go out of the channel and chuck a right and there is the mouth. Sugars beach is across the channel from the mouth. Fish where the rest of the boaties are and can almost guarantee a schoolie at the moment. Hoping to get down there tomorrow at some point too

Hey jack spent the last 2 days fishing off sugars in the yak and it's been quite good. Only landed one bream but the school mulloway have been going nuts on a Berkley big eye blade, brown in lighter brown stripes and a red eye. Caught my first Mulley yesterday then caught another 14 like it over 2 days. Great fun on light gear and would be great for the kids.

Forecast looks grim for this weekend! Gonna brave it anyways!piratepom you are correct. This site is great, full of people willing to give a helping hand. Great community at S&H, thank you for all the meaningful contributors.

Lots of great tips there, ill be hitting west lakes this weekend for sure. Gonna try and keep focused. I find that if after 3 hours of casting I lose concentration and start to mess up the retrieve or waste time changing lures etc. This discussion is getting me pumped!

Cheers mate, had 2 flicks since this post. Tried some big squidgy flickbaits and slick rigs. Had something on the shoreline shiner for a second but methinks it was a plucky ST.Missus just gave me some dosh, a trip down the local is in order =) I definitely like the look of the mongrels and ridgebacks, ill pick some up and hopefully post a report with me grinning from ear to ear.

the end of the actual fishing movie is my way of looking at it; Dont eat the fish! Wont weigh into the old debate release vs eat, but this is my way I catch fish for fun therefore I like as little damage as possible to anything I catch. TT has some great tips there, some of which I use and some I will start using. Something I also try and remember to do is flatten my barbs. If it loses me some fish I dont mind, compared to the damage they can do to the rest I catch. Also alot easier to remove if you snag a homosapien :cheer:

Been MIA for a while, mostly in Europe for the last month. Came back with a bit of cash so lashed out on a new rod, specifically for targeting mullies. Went to R&A and got a nice berkley venom 4-7kg paired with a daiwa ballistic 3000. Awesome cast and the reel is smooth as.I have taken it out twice now to west lakes, without a result. Flicked around daiwa shoreline shiner and some squidgie slick rigs around in the awesome weather today. Didnt get a sniff but I feel confident ill crack them.Anyways I have a tacklebag full of bream lures but not much in the way of mully stuff. Can anyo

Thanks for the responses. Those lures look the go Ill give them a try and something in pumpkin seed. I really look forward actually to putting those kind of hours in, no pain no gain! =)
