M45 (Seven Sisters) and Venus Conjunction

Recommended Posts

The Seven Sisters are an open star cluster in Taurus, very visible to the unaided eye. Usually on a clear night with no moon you can count about 6 stars, the seventh member was said to have been a supernova (an exploding star) which gave the name the Seven Sisters. Other names this cluster goes by are Messier 45, Pleiades, and Subaru (next time look at the badge on a Subaru car). Hope this helps a little.Posted Image
