wishing2Bfishing 0
i have read alot about flasher rigs for snapper recently as well as seing them on some fishing shows. i have used them a few times and not found them to be any advantage. making up my own rigs seems to work just as well, not to mention being quite a bit cheaper. was wondering if others have used them and found them to work really well or not? afishyfish
afishyfish 4
Interesting Topic W2BF.Ive got a few drifting around in my tackle that haven't been used yet; the thinking being the Reds may only take them when they're really agressive Then again if that was happening you'd probably be too busy re-baiting to bother tying on a rig !There should be some interesting responses to this I hope
wishing2Bfishing 0
hopefully. yea well they say you can fish them very effectivly straight out the packet without bait but if you wanna start soing stuff like that you might as well take up flyfishing i reckon. everytime i have used one i have put bait on it but thats not to say they dont work without it afishyfish
Bigmac54 0
I caught a doggie on 1 on the weekend! Couldn't believe it. I'm the dogshark whisperer I think. Yea, they work, as do the baitchaser rigs. Just gotta have patience afishyfish

Nikhum 16
From my experience they have the advantage, but I've only experienced this at night. I outfished two other guys on my boat on a few occasions and they were using the normal rigs using the same bait as me. afishyfish

Nikhum 16
I was comparing it to two other guys and its not from getting lucky, the flasher rigs work. Even the pro Snapper fishermen I know use them. It made a difference for me and that's just my personal experience. Not sure how else you would like me to put it?? lol TENNANT
nickmav 0
yep i agree with nikhum.i use them for snapper too, but beware there are some cheapies around that are shite.black magic brand work well for me.io use the 8/0 version and slay plenty of fish with them.most come with circle hooks too, maybe not so good for the uninitiated.always use them with bait.easy , quick and effective, thats why i like them.you should rinse them with fresh if you want to use them more than twice though.
