Marine Wind Warning Changes

Recommended Posts

Hello, Some of you are probably already aware that we are changing our Marine Wind Warning and there will also be changes to the Marine Forecasts. This is to confirm that as of late tomorrow (Wed 22 May) there will be a change to our service so that we will only issue the Marine Wind Warning Summary when warnings are current (rather than routinely twice each day)http://www.bom.gov.au/sa/warnings/marine-wind.shtml More detail is included below.Marine Wind Warning Summary Product Changes Products IDS20201The “Weather Situation” section of these products will be removed. These products will not be issued when marine wind warnings are not current. Marine Forecast Product Changes Warning statements will only be included when warnings are current. i.e. “No wind warning current” statements will be excluded. When a warning is current it will be highlighted in yellow on the web version.Regards Paul Lainio Acting Supervising Meteorologist(Senior Meteorologist, Media and Community Relations) Communication Section | Corporate DivisionSouth Australian Regional OfficeBureau of MeteorologyPO Box 421 Kent Town SA 507125 College Rd.
