kon 300
BricksFamily First could be in the mix here with preference arrangements?Just pure speculation of course...
khombi 10
It is a sad, sad, sad, sad day when a top class fishing site such as this one reverts to a political site. Keep politics out of it, we get enough of this shit being rammed down our throats on TV and telephone poles as it is without having to put up with it here............... kon 300
Nothing wrong with discussing politics potentially affecting recfishing on a specific thread of a fishing forum site in the leadup to an election - but why am I seeing a multi-slide Labor ad on the Recent Topics Home Page? bjorn2fish 4,612
Kon the ads are generated by Google, to decide what ads are displayed Google looks at your browser cookies and any search info it can get from you, I have a feeling it also targets ads at a general demographic of the site, e.g. males between a certain age. It's possible Google has also looked at keywords used on the site to see where we fit in.For example I see a lot of ads for fishing, web servers, printing, vehicle insurance and health, these are all things I've searched for and visited pages relating to. kon 300
Ta Bjorn, that would sort of make sense - if it`s individual browser cookies FWIW I was on both Lib and Labor sites in the last week or two. bjorn2fish
