Kuerschie 2,309
Have a few mates that would benefit from this ahaha. I'm wondering if/how the device might effect the use of the rod whilst fishing? Looks like it would get in the way. Other problem would be if you dropped it over a jetty, how would you hook the device with another rod to bring the sunk rod up.

Cal 480
Losing a rod reminds me of something that happened back in the late 70s when I was a kid on Grange jetty. My brother somehow lost his rod and reel over the edge,my Dad was and my brother were devastated,a young guy came over and asked what the prob was,and after telling him he said 'no probs",took off his shirt ,dived in [which just on dark was pretty game] and swam down out of sight. Ten or so minutes later he comes walking back down the jetty dripping wet, with my brothers prized rod and reel, what a good samaratin, wanted no reward nothing just was glad to help. Being an Alvey reel my brother commenced fishing again, and he and Dad caught big tommies[which were common back then]into the night. Cheers
