Rod For Daiwa SOL 3000?

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I just got a good deal on a Sol 3000 reel & Iam looking for a rod to match it up with. Will be using it for chucking around big plastics for Snapper & other large reef species (hopefully). Was thinking about a matching Sol rod in the 10-17lb medium/heavy range. What do you guys reckon, sound o.k or should a step it down to a 8-14lb rod?Edit - Think I just posted in the wrong section, can mods. please move to "the rod shop" if possible.

Match it to the T-curve Snapper in the heavier model or a Starlostick Tournament pro maxspinShimano Starlo Stix Tournament Pro Fishing Rod (7'2" Max spin)Shimano Starlo Stix Tornament Pro Fishing Rods are a suberb fishing rod if fishing with soft plastic lures or hard bodied lures if your thing. This particular Starlo Stix Fishing rod is a 7'2" Rod , 1 piece and has a line rating of 4-7kg

I'm the same B L, I'll match Shimano Rods with Daiwa Reels any day, prefure the feel of Daiwa reels.T Bone, I use a T-Curve tournament 722 snapper rod with a Sol 3000, find it a well balanced combo.
