Are there any shops in the metro area that are open later on Friday night where I can get some decent squid heads? Coming to the city for the long weekend on Friday evening and won't have the time to spend catching bait.

Not sure but there used to be an asian family that sold bait 24 7 from there house i think from memory around the port area!

I won't be in the city till around 6-6:30 and wouldn't be able to get to a shop till 7:30 or 8. I'm staying at my mother-in-law's in Unley, so somewhere closer to there would be ideal. I thought about having her get me some squid from the fish shop, but I didn't really want to pay too much. Does anyone know what Capos or Samtass is getting for squid these days? I only need enough for one session, maybe 6-8 heads.

mate I'd suggest heading for cappos or similar in the central market.Ive usually found it hard to source just heads, but recently got some nice bait sized whole squid for 20/kilo from a local seafood retailer.assumedly heads would be cheaper
