  1. If you could get away with a 1-3kg rod I have one for sale in the for sale thread.... it was going to be my bream/YFW/tommy all round rod, it loads up nicely and has the extra length to cast out baits and lures etc... If not for around the $250 mark you could get a Daiwa lexa for around $149 nice little reels, Then get an samaki all lure or skitch rod for around $80 then get some fireline and you will be within budget and would have an awesome all round combo...
  2. Whats your budget mate? You also talking about Yellowfin whiting or King Gorge whiting?
  3. Gonna Have to get me some squid now.... NIce one mate
  4. Nice work mate well done! He engulfed that hardcore!!!
  5. The float setup is very handy however i would suppose you would need to have a guess at the depth you are fishing so it is not sitting to high above the water column etc... I have always used lighter line attached to the sinker... However it does get annoying .....
  6. average lol.... Leigh put up a post in the Yorke peninsula thread..... Didnt help there was only 2 tides a day for the time we were there!
  7. yeh mate... over the years with the tides, strong current and swell it has certainly taking a belting.... Lucky it was low tide and a bit was quite exposed.... Down that way is awesome for photography....
  8. Evening all here are a couple of photos i took over the last couple days while i was at yorkes! This one is overlooking the Northern Cliffs of Ethel Wreck The next one is part of Ethel Wreck The last one is of the mighty Browns Beach first thing in the morning! Sorry about the low quality photos as Strikehook only allows images under 4.8mb so i had to drop the resolution right down to get them on here.... I will post a few more up when I have finished processing them.... If you would like to see the high quality version of the photos plus any of my oth
  9. Here is a photo I took moments before i got hit with the front that came in this afternoon! Love how there was such dark clouds rolling in yet you still see the sun as it was setting. And shows the roughness of the water! This looks even better at the true resolution however due to the site only allowing 4.88mb max pics i got to shrink it down to fit!
  10. For sure mate! Whenever your ready we can work something out!
  11. Here is a shot I took this morning on my way for a morning Hills fish! Loved the colours and cloud formation in the sky. I couldn't help but stop and take it in!
  12. i used my 1-3kg blades and tails with a 1000 size reel, 4lb braid and 4lb leader..... Have caught mullies to 95cm on this combo! I guess it all depends on how much fun you want to have!
  13. Good to see your getting out in it mate. Well done!
  14. Here is an black and white one i just quickly whipped up....... This one isnt HDR though......
  15. Cheers for the feedback mate! I exaggerated the HDR only because the person i was doing it for wanted that "intense" oil painting type look with the photo... I always do a few different ones because as you know and see everyone has different taste in what they see..... This is the original image When i get time i will put up my other pictures of this, this was just a one that i quickly whipped up....
