  1. Quantum never had any problems,i got the Smoke S3 PT and that thing is just so easy to cast .Got 3 BC Quantums,2 Kastkings and the shimano DC all up.Did give the Daiwas a go but we don't seem to get along for some reason. If you want to try we can meet up at the water
  2. Currently using the Quantum KVD BCaster for 3.2g lures 4lb fireline, one thing i learnt was to use a 100 size reel or less. The reel needs to only run on magnetic braking without centrifugal brakes installed this gives me usually averaging 3 casts a minute, light weight and easy on the wrist
  3. Same here sold off the more expensive reels and cut right back to basic, only the DC Curado @$300 remains at the highest price. Also switched over to low profile bait casters as they are more entertaining. 6 in total..LOL
  4. Sienna 2500.. Caution for some on language
  5. 14lb Coorong mulloway. 4lb flats fishing. These braids usually break near double rated strength
  6. What you need is a BFS bait caster reel usually all have a low profile spool and there's some really good Chinese copies out there and with the correct rod you'd be fine
  7. I haven't tried anything under 1/4 once but if i did i'd have to drop from 14lb to 4lb braid, really got a felling the computer won't allow this, and this is why i was looking for the feed back.I was thinking of adding a LH but then i have read that LH and RH sometimes don't work the same being the same model.
  8. Any bait caster will throw 90mm -120mm,its when you start getting down to 10-15g lures.I was just wondering if the computer chip can work with out issues,i just don't want to re spool just to find out they're no good for that low weight .And what sort of run have people gotten from the reel.
  9. Anyone here running a DC reel ?Just wanted to know what's the lightest lure you are throwing on what light braid
  10. Try tying on some lead weights, should see an improvement within a couple weeks.
  11. Quite a few people have been waiting on feed back on these new lures, looks promising.
  12. I'm usng the Teton spin only weighs 74g,2m long.2-10g lures and 3-8lb line.Currently using 4lb fireline crystal on a 1000 size reel.Mostly casting 3.2g vibes.Selection can be limited for BFS rods and especially for bait caster rods. This set up has made it easier on the wrist but would have preferred a 7'6" length for a bit of extra distance for flats fishing.
  13. "Am now waiting for an 8'6" 2-4kg to arrive".. What is it ?
  14. Been hearing this not just in tackle but many other items in being sold out due to lack of overseas stock. When looking for rods not just in local tackle shops but on line sold out same with lures and braids.Anyone else noticed a general shortage on goods.
  15. Just something to consider for future purchases is the Kuying Teton rod, currently the ultimate BFS rod for sale.Plenty of you tube videos on them for reviews and they can be purchased with spare top section if you snap one. I have one and i have never had a rod like this thing.First time i used it then i knew why everyone raves about them.
  16. Yep any thing new needs to be tried,if you can find one ? Got to remember some of us spend years perfecting losing lures so we always need more to lose
  17. Any fishing reports MickyJ.? Some better weather coming our way
  18. Have a look at Bucktails which are readily available
  19. The Lateral Line https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQYBg0u3DMwc0lLHtj__tjg/videos
  20. Not just at tackle shops but at other locations like jetties
  21. Yeah i haven't been in that shop since last year and was very surprised at the changes,i wish them well and i'm sure the southern locals will support them once they get to see what's on offer.
  22. Wow has that shop changed in stock and the bait selection is huge, expanded from one shop to three.Don't think any tackle shop in Adelaide would have that amount of bait choices on offer, plus that bait vending machine is so handy out of hours.Prices are good on tackle i won't be buying from ebay any more,so glad to see that shop pushing ahead for us fisho's.
  23. i see Ci4's starting to drop in price
