I too have the same problem with retailers,as i ask on a forum about a product go to google search and find more replies which may be in other forums.Then finally made up my mind what i want and need,be it a rod or a reel.Find a tackle store that carries the item,go in ask for it and it's either not in stock or get told why i don't need it.Just recently i went to get a reel and they had them in stock,the sales guy said.."You don't want that " as he didn't like them and tried to push me into another reel.Now i have deliveries coming in every week thru ebay to my door and no more sales assistanc

I use to make rods for people for a hobby and some pocket money,with the price of Chinese rods being to cheap as competition it wasn't worth going past being a hobby.Well for me it wasn't.You will need rod building machines which will get to several hundred,unless you make your own lathes.It's so competitive out there right now that snyder rods couldn't operate any more and sold out to wilson.Be interesting to see how long wilson tackle can last.

I'll pick one up tomorrow and give it a test run on tuesday.

I would have thought for mulloway the retrieve speed would be slow.That's if these can be retrieved slow.

There is every chance of hooking onto a bigger fish there.Just by having a bait in the water.If there is weed then your chances are badly reduced.Take some 4oz and 6oz 3 sided star sinkers.You'll need the bigger sinker if there's a strong side current.That's if your rod will handle that cast weight plus bait.
