I can imagine if the same thing happened on the gold coast. Sharks are right through the canal system. They must be naughty fishos up there It has happened up here. Its is illegal to fish for sharks over 1.5 mtrs. Unfortunately the people in power are more dumber up here then down your way.

Thanks fellas, Ive got the Stealth in 6lb. but do ya know if they go any lighter? Cant find much Light Fluro up here the lightest they go is 4lb. so far.

Dunno about you fellas but here in Qld. the Storm Chug-bug works a treat on the tailor ranging from 1.5kg-3kg. Cast a mile aswell them things. All i use is poppers here.

Jst got back from another Arvo sesh tonight, 6 G.T's, 2 Big Eye Trevally, 2 Golden Trevally and 3 Bream.This was a double hook up, I landed this on a Popper and 6lb. Wicked fun, was about a 15 minute fight. Didn't get a measurement but the fish next to me is a 40cm to the fork fish.

Just a quick question here fellas. I've got a 100 litre tank in the shed (unfortunately the oldies won't let me have it inside) full of live trumpeters, due to this heat wave I'm very positive that there will be a few belly up fish by the end of it, how do I cool them down? I've bought a bag of ice that I will put in when things really heat up but I don't want to buy a chiller either as they apparently cost $1500.Any Suggestions?

Yea Sambo I wouldn't go past a Sol 3000 mate, unless you want to spend double the dough! :icon_lol: Ive got a sol 3000 and have 10lb. Braid on it and have caught some amazing fish on it! As for the Jewie rod, I've got a custom built Fat Dave special but I wouldn't mind a nice new saltwater as Smokey Mc. Gentalus explained.

You should use a fully Rollered bream rod, you need that type of grunt around the barnacle encrusted pylons. Fully Rollered Bream Rod + Wire Wind on + 10/0 Size Jig head = Wicked, Fully Sick, Big Black Bream! :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

Have any of you blokes thought of how much the tackle Tim the Sharkie is using weighs? There has to be a few kilos there which I'm sure would add more spice to the encounter and put the ball in the sharks court as I'm sure that this extra weight doesn't help the angler too well. Plus trying to walk a Bronzie into the shallows walking along side of it on the jetty wouldn't be too easy and would take some time to do. Its not landed until you touch that leader (or wire so to speak) so it could have taken even more if the shark came in green and was thrashing around.... Congratulations Tim on fina

hey big lizzard i just checked on the specs of the 4/0 wide spool and it doesnt seem to hold as much 30 pound line as the tyrnos 30 :P Give me a lever drag any day! ;D ;D

Yes a stupid question in logic Big Lizard but its a toughy for me. In paper the inter wins hands down of course. But Lloyd's 9/0 has a lot of sentimental value on its plate, if you had seen the reel and box in real life and the fish its caught on it you would probably do what im doing and chose the 9/0 over it any day... But I'd chose my tyrnos 30 over an inter50 or Penn 9/0 any day! ;D ;D ;D ;D

hey harley wicked fish!110cm is huuge! But im not too sure that it might be 35-40 pound??? Its abit hard to tell though as you didn't weigh it.

Thanks for the comment ranger,Im trying to get part 2 up but im in between upgrading computers as such so part 2 won't probably be as good as part 1 but Episode 3 will make up for it!
