  1. No Alex, they're some pencil sketches that I googled and put together on A4, printed it then laminated it, also have some framed as well in my fishing room.. cheers Adrian
  2. Very nice purchase you've made there.. I only picked up a few more hard body lures during the closed season.. Picked up another half a dozen of these... Shad50 mid divers.. Plus a couple of these tiny little fella's for small streams.. As well a few more of these Shad40 lures which are a little smaller that those in the top photo.. Managed to get hold of the new rainbow design Rapala floating lures as well.. And then there's this small Strike Pro smelta.. Then these arrived from France for the trout season ahead.. I did also get hold of a couple more Daiwa hard body Gh
  3. Just thought this site may be of some interest to the members on the site.. I know these are web cams set on a variety of lakes here in Tasmania, but I've found them to be quite interesting as one slowly moves the cursor across the screen. There are several changes of weather conditions and a variety of boats and fishermen that move past the camera as you slowly scroll across the screen.. This was on opening day here in Tassie.. August 5th.. plenty of fisho's braving the cold weather.. not this little black duck, he's staying home in the warm.. it's now blowing at 45 KPH here.. cheer
  4. As chuck stated the red tag is a great all rounder for trout fishing, me being a spin fisher has even heard of that fly and how good it is.. Here's a list of the top 24 trout flies here in Tassie.. I'm sure there's a few that would do well in Sth Aust too.. The fly fishermen that I know down here always match the hatch ( caddis moths, beetles, duns, Spinners, hoppers etc) throughout the season... reckon that's the way to go in Sth Aust too.. cheers Adrian THE TASMANIAN FLY FISHING COLLECTION PUT TOGETHER BY MIKE TENNER PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITED TASMANIAN GUIDE 24 OF THE BEST PA
  5. Photos of the rivers that I fish around Northern Tasmania & the fish that I catch in them, plus a little bit of scenery as well..
  6. You need to find a secret spot all to yourself... feel free look me up if you manage to get down this way.. cheers Adrian
  7. It can certainly get thick up there Barney... and very cold too..
  8. Here's a few photos of the 2015 & 2016 Winter snow we had here in Sheffield in July & August.. so far 2017 has given up any snow here but it has snowed just on 10 kms from Sheffield as well as a light layer on Mt.Roland here in Sheffield.. Not sure if we'll get any this year, but with a moth of Winter still to go anything can happen down here in Tassie.. cheers Adrian
  9. You're on the ball there doobie, good job & well done..
  10. Shame to see another Aussie icon closing down, I see they have been flooded with orders since the announcement which will keep them afloat a little longer.. I still have a couple of Alvey reels too one being a cedar spool surf reel.. caught many Salmon & Mulloway with it too..certainly beautiful reels that are easily maintained & that last forever..
  11. Thanks guys, yes she's been at me for years to get one but I kept holding off.. kept spending money on new trout rods, reels & lures.. Comes with a carry bag that fits onto my waders belt & I can even fall in the river too because it's fully waterproof.. Pam actually went into BFC and got it, they also gave her $30 off as well.. That 2004-2005 Trout Season Report next to the PLB has 22 pages to it and it's one that I have finally finished writing up from my hand written diaries.. still four more seasons to write up before I reach to where I started off with a com
  12. With the trout season opening only a couple of weeks away I had a nice surprise this morning when Pam walked in and gave me a package that she had picked up at BCF.. Having lower severe back problems and suffering with angina Pam went bought me a GME personal locator beacon. I have been thinking of getting one for quite some time mainly because I always fish the rivers on my own. This one also has GPS which will put me a 5 meter radius of being found which is better than a 5 kilometer range. So I registered it this morning and it's all go from now.. Let's hope I don't have to use it..
  13. Well done guys and that's a great job you did on raising over $2k and for for a very good cause too.. Congratulations to all of you and to those that supported the fund raiser... cheers Adrian
