Hey guys,FINALLY get my licence back on Monday, so over the next couple of weeks i will be doing plenty of driving around in circles with no real destination in mind. I will have my rod in the BattleTruck, and a selection of lures.Say, if you where bored shitless, and looking for somewhere to flick lures around, where would you go?

I'll take the reel if you end up selling it.

Im with Vodafone and coverage is shocking!!!Most towns on Yorkes i am lucky to get any....Over on Eyre, anything further then 10km's from Pt Lincoln no reception, unless i drive around in circles trying to find a slight bit of signal.When my plan runs out in December i will be changing to Telstra, i don't use my phone a whole lot... so doubt ill run over any caps. lets just hope there billing system doesn't screw me over!

I have the BOSS tackle bag from BCF, fits 5 big trays, and a few small ones, front pocket is jammed packed full of s/p packets.I can take it anywhere and EVERYTHING I need.or leave it in the car, and take my vest, and a few smaller trays with what is needed.

Every jetty is different, as sharks/fish follow currents and such.i usually go about 250-300.

Last time to southport i did think about it, but didnt have my waders on to get far enough out to cast...Maybe next time when i am more prepared..

On the cheaper side of rods, but the Pfluger Trion are pretty good, i have a 2-4kg Trion and served me well untill i upgraded to the Supreme AST.

Wearing waders in deep water is a very weird sensation the first time you do it!!

I have a pair of those cheapo surf combo waders, they do the job fine, rod and reel is still alive too :lol:Depending what you want to spend, look at some Horne waders, awesome quality. Personally i'd just get the cheap ones, jumping fences and stuff destroys them pretty quick....Also if you find the soles hard on the feet, you can always buy some of those cushioned shoe liners and slip them in.

Take it back where you brought it from, from memory there was an issue with some of the dropshots doing that, then exchange it for a Pfluger....

Well FINALLY a decent sesh!!!!Got there at about 3pm with Grego, already 20 odd people fishing, so found a spot and set up, started off quietly then Grego was on, then on again, then again... :S Then FINALLY i got one :lol:Ended up 5-6 for Grego and 2 for me, my biggest was 39cm and over a KG i reckon. was a pretty good sesh, can't wait to head back there!!!While getting my gear ready i couldn't decide if i should take my waders or not, so didn't bother... soon as i walked over the dunes and saw the water i had a "WTF didn't i moment" :lol:Next time i will be much more prepared....Also, call me crazy, but my rod got in the shower before me when i got home, have to wash all that salt crap off them...

Heading down there now, just finished work and waiting for grego to come pick me up....Hopefully they play ball!!!

Last year at a SAFWAA carp out day, one of the old boys was just knocking them on the head with a peice of wood, no mess and seemed to knock them out straight away.

Don't worry about that new school stuff, nothing beats the old school 650c...Can't wait to get my grubby mits on one, and a big old butterworth or Snyder rod!!!
