  1. Saw that one on Pinrest this morning.. wouldn't take much to knock up.
  2. Bit late to the party... Been down the tip raiding supplies? I like that 3 peice one you made. Maybe later down the track when i have the tools and maybe even a work bench. Still need to sort that out since moving in.
  3. Ended up getting the $30 one. Got them all in but 2. I've got another rod coming I won in a FB comp a couple of weeks ago... Maybe I'll need to get another rack. [emoji23] Tempted to split it and wall mount Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
  4. I could get 2 packs of these and have enough for 20 rods if i just butt them together along the wall. But worried about spacing with reels on. https://www.boatingandrv.com.au/horizontal-mount-5-rod-rack/ Or maybe one of these but i'll have to alternate spin/baitcaster and rod with no reels to use all the slots i guess... and it's a bit ugly. But half price atm so maybe get 2? https://www.anacondastores.com/fishing/fishing-storage/fishing-rod-storage/berkley-fishing-rod-rack/BP90119682-black-red
  5. Trying to come up with a cheap rod holder for my spare room... I thought i know a man who likes to do stuff on the cheap. Do you have a vertical rod holder? It's for my spare room, considering just buy a strip style holders and screwing into the plaster wall.
  6. i find myself using pointy nose pliers sometimes with the decoy clips, just need to be careful not to deform them.
  7. Very different collection there! Only one i know is the ZX35!
  8. I've got a couple of pairs of diawa braid scissors which I got when I brought j-braid and they do a good job. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk

    VISION versus VIBES

Well done Des! some decent lizards for your efforts!
  10. Float fishing plastics for FH... That is definitely not something I've heard of before! It does make sense though. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
  11. I'm probably like most people been using right handed since i was a kid and it's what i know. I could try left handed but doing the right hand swaparoo after casting doesn't bother me.
  12. I only use cheap stuff so can't really help... But i think the Rod is more important then the reel if your casting big lures. TBH Cod wont be taking a huge runs. Something in a 200 size would be the go. I've been using a 150 size reel and from the kayak it's more then enough to tip me over if i put some hurt on it. I have a Savage Gear 200 Black reel i got from a mate before he left the country which will be more then enough to drag a Cod out.
  13. Great write up there Des! [emoji106] Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
  14. Might have to give it a go next time i re-spool my Bream stick.
  15. I may or may not have gone for a swim many years ago when a carp pulled my rod into the Torrens Lake in town. Saw it sliding down the bank and chased after it, drove in and grabbed the rod and fought the fish in the water until i got the bank. Handed the rod to Jimmy while i climbed out then finished fighting the fish landing it. Was pretty funny at the time.... Then the next day they closed the lake due to blue green algae outbreak. We might have gave a few Coopers Pales a nudge that session also.
  16. Could have done with that the other week.. One got me a beauty with the rakers, the kayak looked like a war zone from all the blood.
  17. They would make good kayak pants in summer too! [emoji848] Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
  18. I don't mind spending money on lures... But no fish is worth that much! [emoji54] Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
  19. Need more fisheries officers simple as that.
  20. Absolute Chit show but it was always going to go down like this, I've not bothered even going.
  21. I have been told of people using that trick to catch bream before and works well apparently. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
  22. Apparently that is Doobie... Tripped over his walking frame again. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
