  1. I just read the new release and I find it quite stupid. We all knew that the :sh fishers were going to get bent over in the long run. The permanent :sh fishing restrictions wont stop illegal :sh fishing activities' date=' I see people all the time :sh fishing using wind on leaders, 400lb stainless steel wire trace and hooks up to size 12/0 between the hours 5 AM to 9PM. Because there is a limited number of Fisheries Officers in South Australia the chances of get caught on our metropolitan beaches is very low even if someone does reports it to fishwatch.[/quote'] Went sharking the other month at 5pm of the jetty with mono and regulation hooks and wire trace to put on after 9pm i was the only chump everone else was still using wire add the did not give a toss in my eyes this is how to get it banned out right PS got a nice eaglie and a couple small bronzies on mono cheers
  2. Hey Boons you just gave me a good idea mates got a mt8144 blank i cut a few inches of the top and run one of those new Penn spinfisher 10500 on it now thats going to be one shark and ray and mully slayer i reckon it would be good to throw large baits out might have to look into it a bit more cheers
  3. [quo. i don't know maybe il just stick with the good o'l 9/0.]Hi you could complement the 9/0 with a tld 30 tyrnos 30 with 600mtrs of 30lb as a second outfit for the bottom or ballooning on a wilson tex or livefibre 15 to 24kg 7ft everyone i know including myself allways use two outfits when they go LBSF As for spinners we are talking here about big mothers 8 to 10ft 150kg plus after 6ft bronzies start to really stack on the weight not saying the cant be caught on spinners but maybe Saltiga 7000 or 6500 loaded with 80lb braid or stella 20000 who knows.Seen finnors 9500os full of 80lb and 50lb braid hammered and my own penn 850ss full of 30lb mono stripped in a blink of and eye maybe the new penn spinfisher 10500 might be the way to go see ya

  4. Hi imho TLD50 lrsa with the slightly higher drag rating would be fine so you can run 650 of 50lb or 400 of 80lb and i agree 24kg to 37kg rod would be the go, Tiagra 37KG stand up or backbone elite 37kg but my personal choice when i get some extra cash would be a sabre or calstar 670h with about 3 to 4 inchs cut from the top custom made cheers

  5. RFLs ever do come in i wish for a purpose built jetty for fisher people or one of the metro jetties extended for us land luvers with rod holders running water, bait boards ,toilets, shade etc etc i dont care if i have to pay to get on them. They have them in the US sorry i forgot this is adelaide the cant do state sorry 4 the rant tight lines

  6. IMO get a 80 put 1000mts of 80lb then you can tow or balloon heaps out if you can stand the sound it makes bringing it in (its like having the racket on all the time )tld 50lrs or any 30wlrs for kingies and sharks would be your best bet. But now most guys are useing big spinners with braid for kings . 4 Surf fishing i got a daiwa sensor 13 ft 30/40lb rod and casts like a dream cheers

  7. hey guyshave thrashed my penn spinfisher over the last 6-7 months just wondering what the best place would be to get it serviced? Thanks FSW

take it to the penn service centre at hendon Anglers Central 2/7 circuit dr hendon 82448790 ring first to get a price cheers
  8. Heard that jarvis walker has lost the penn agency to purefishing does anyone know if this is true. Losing penn surely will hit jw hard i would say penn is there number one sellers.. CHEERS:dry:

  9. ban it they may but there are always loop holes some where .you would have to see what the wording of the new law to see what you can get away with .I mainly fish off the bottom cast out my penn 6/0 or what ever with a lump of squid or fillet and chill and what ever happens will this effect me who knows .So for now shark as much as you can and stick it to the man because i will ;)
