Hi Dylbaa,I frequent waits n parsons salt creek, even tried wallaroo for worms a few years back when the kids were younger etc and have never seen them? possibly they may be there but it must be the coarseness of the sand as the beaches that i know hold them are mostly a finer compacted type of sand, but damn theyre a fine bait for most everything from brim to jewies they all love them, and catching them is half the fun beats paying 8>10 dollars for one bloody worm these days.happy worm hunting if you ever try at moana let me know ill join ya

if your south of metro try moana, to the right of the life saving club down towards the rocks or aldinga / sellicks, usually bigger worms but patchy ! i use cows liver but bag of fish frames works just as well.Must admit i havent done a lot of worming in the colder months but im guessing theyre still available?

Hi Sandy.looks like a great day was had.....sure beats working hey, I have a little hint of which might be of some use, apparently, when cutting open the tube prior to cutting in slices before cooking , ALWAYS score diagonally etc the INSIDE of the tube, dont ask me why this is supposed to be the way chefs do it for a nice succulent finished result.Anyways tight lines.Sean

Actually it was my bad, attempting to strip out a few lengths of fly line, the connection loop from the fly line and the tippet caught on a runner, and as usually it slips right thru no dramas as i wasnt watching it caught and one pull slightly too hard, well its a no no a :ohmy: :S lmost as bad as highsticking a good fish.

Last try for kingies, live gar was taken, on the 15kg gear, never ever seen line like that leave my reel, panic struck as i looked dumbfounded at my reel, decided to pop it about half a dozen wraps of line lefti reckon it would have done the same on the 24kg outfit.S

I would say if this was a major public / government concern we would already be limited to swimming,boating "between the poles / within the shark nets",etc as are some beaches around this country and internationally.As every shark spotting within metro areas is taken upon the public to alert the relevant authorities and they act accordingly, to make safe the public as best they can,by the only way possible by utilising surf patrol bodies and shark planes etc, these occurences are and could only be acted upon in a "spot the fire basis" there would be literally limiltess different situations of

Morning all sleepy eyed site viewers some with hangovers as to yesterdays results . :S I am hoping to glean some advice on fishing land based on the reefs around Cape Elizabeth this time of year I am heading to yorkes tonight as my trip to PA for kingies was cancelled. Would like to know if theres any chance of snapper ? a morning or evening sessions would pep up my spirits somewhat.Will also drop a line in at Moonta jetty or Pt Hughes for some squid Any advice would be greatly appreciatedCheers Sean

David, The tracks to gain access to the beach are a bit of fun most have wet spots hahaha.I wouldnt get onto the beaches at 28 or 32, as you would have to have full trust in ya skills and vehicle, but tracks behind the small dunes at the foreshore at 32 are easy and access a great area to run amongst the sand. Hi David,Until the water recede and access can be gained via tea tree crossing, mate dont overlook other access tracks like 28 and 32, appaerently the salmon are pretty scattered this season so you might get them anywhere, altho reports say there are more up towards tea tree area and beyond, sure the hole and gutters are a bit more defined and fishy around 42 mile, but good fishing can be had from any of these beaches, good jew and sharks even the odd snapper at the right time can be taken.I got a 15 pound snapper last season and a schoolie around 30 pound, sure it was near 42 but these show u

Hi David, 42 mile isnt closed, BUT there is only about 4 kms of beach to access, unless you break all the rules and bash ur own track past the rangers sign, there is some issue, slightly political as far as I can gather that they wont put in a few star droppers to allow a new track for further access to the area? so the traffic that visits the beach will be chockas and the track will get thrashed most people wont go back untiil tea tree opens cheers for the commentsSean
