as far as dog sharks go they should all be released coz their thevacum cleaners of the ocean! they clean up all thedead shit from the bottom, proably why their so easy to catch!
nah never got a chance to weigh it but it was bloody heavey i had trouble holding it with onehand. http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/i9zP2iJn__digital_cAM_278.JPG[/img]
i think ur crazy for wanting to spend that much on a snapper reel! But persol opinion i spose, some people just want the best of the best.for me if it does the job im happy.i use an old silstar reel iv had for about 6 years and have landed my fair share of snaps. that set me back about 60 bux
im not sure if this is any help, but iv only ever used spiderwire and i think it works quite well.Ive been using it for about 2 years now on 8p, 30p and 50p.
Does any one know of a good shark reel?Im after an overhead, i wnnt to use 50p mono so it needs to have a good line capacity. And im on a budget so nothing too expensive.so does anyone have any good sugestions?
do you have to guide the line on with your thumb even when your fightinga big kingie or something? i would imagin you would slice your thumb up a bit,but if you dont and a fish takes plenty of line i think the line would bunch up in the one spot!
why do alot of people steer away from using the levelwind?i have a shinano tekota 500 loaded with 50p spiedrwire and i haventhad problems as yetalthough i havent caught my 20kg kingie it was bought for yet!
