  1. Hey. I bought a few craft boxes for my husband from cheap as chips for about $6 each. They have the removable partitions etc for different sized lures. Also check out any craft sections of big stores (spotlight/big w) etc and you can get them fairly cheap and they do the job well.
  2. Sure is. I normally fish with bait but today I think I was converted
  3. stopped in at a tackle store today but couldn't help myself and walked out with a new rod. Okuma SP calynn rod and reel in a nice colour... PINK! Lol. Headed straight to west lakes to test it out and got a ST on my first cast. Very happy with my girly tackle. Bet u all want one now haha
  4. I lost a pair of oakelys on holiday and went into a servo and picked up a cheapy pair of polarized sunnies for $30. Have a look around cause I've noticed quite a few servos have them and are really cheap. At that price it doesn't really matter if they get scratched.
  5. Ben m wrote: Are you snappahuntas wife??????????? lolWeedie asked for an opinion right? The reputation that malaluka fishin gear has is pretty piss poor. Therefore why are all the "tackle snobs" gonna tell him that his set up is goin to be fine and will catch him plenty of big fish when thereality is it will probabaly blow up or seize up after not much use at all. There are heaps of good fishos on this site that can help people out when choosing gear. If its clearly not worth the effort then dont post rubbish comments. Think too many people are crossin over to here from fishsa these days lol.Wif
  6. If anyone actually read the posts you would see that he wasn't saying people who buy expensive stuff are snobs he was defending the guy that started this post from the people who were just being rude and telling him his new rods were crap. I joined this site hoping to pick up some tips but if THIS is the way you treat people That are asking for advice then it is clearly not worth the effort. And if you didn't already notice snappahunta Isnt on here anymore.
  7. Can't quite see what the fuss is about, I don't know if many of the later comments actually READ what SH posted. Every post he made in this thread seems FAIR. Went to send him a PM and his profile is now BANNED. Strange!!
  8. Tackle schmackle. For at least two years I was using a cheap rod that was snapped in half and put back together with sealent lol. Caught loads of fish and it served it's purpose. Not everyone has a million dollars to spend on fishing gear and if your gear is cheap and you can still catch fish it just means you are a better fisherman/woman. ;p
  9. Personally I don't think it makes that much of a difference. I have tried both rigs with success. I tend to stick to the same rig as you described as it is just what I have always done. Also I've noticed that in places with a lot of snags that you just can't unhook you will lose all your tackle when snapping the line. Opposed to hopefully just losing the hook and keeping the swivel and sinker intact. I think it's just personal preference but I feel like it gives me a little peace of mind seeing my bait already a foot away from the sinker when I cast.
