  1. want to pull a good mully on plastic out of a spot i have recently found in the coorong, would be a more than happy with 25lb
  2. mate i have a team daiwa redback med/heavy rod matched with a 3000 redback reel. 7ft so good for casting plastics really light but so friggin strong, im running 15lb braid on it and i reckon i could catch anyting on it. i think the combo cost around 400. very good value when you compare to a sol rod it is 400 by itself.
  3. Insurance going to cover me 700 bucks not nearly enough but better than nothing i suppose
  4. mate i have a couple of rods for sale that may be good for that size reel, have a look in the for sale section, your welcome to wack it on and see how it feels
  5. yeah pretty sure mine was just a fault I know a few guys that have been runnng them for a while with no probs.
  6. could have handled if they flogged a rod and reel but my tackle box so frigging pi##ed off. and my work tools to went so i cant make any bloody money to buy new tackle til i get them back. you work hard to have nice things then some low life dero who dosent want to work just flogs em. so angry right now!!!!!!!
  7. ended up getting the daiwa redback which was around the same retail price around 170 the boss isnt even in the same league if you hold each one I say stick with what you know (my view anyway)
  8. the one i broke was the graphite maroon one
  9. Had my car and work trailer busted into lasT week and had all my work tools and some fishing stuff flogged NOT HAPPY. 4000+ to replace. The fishing stuff I had flogged was my big Plano tackle box which was absolutely bricked with leader, hooks, sinkers, plastics, knifes etc etc (cost me crap loads to replace) as well as my waders which i think were showbee.my fishing stuff may not be insured as hard to proove ownership so really jacked off.if anyone has any word on the street or someone selling the stuff hook us a pm and I will bring the pain to the dogs.cheers all
  10. much needed water so awesome. mullies are going to be on this season in the coorong.
  11. mate I had one. it was the medium 7ft, had it for a week and it clean snapped in 2 places after catching a whiting (under no load or highsticking). dont know if i just had a faulty one or what but took it back and paid the extra 100 for a team daiwa
  12. mate i got myself a team daiwwa redback rod and 3000 reel and its sweet the 3000 would easily handle most sized snapper around having caught 5kg reds on it with ease and matched with same rod its a sweet well balanced light set up with heaps of power. so the sol would be a step up from this and 3000 would do everything you want.
  13. fatal attraction is really good, some tackle shops have got it its seconds mucles smashed up, works good for snapper to i found
  14. they come in a few different sizes and action check the daiwa aus web site
  15. I reckon i will go the sensor rod for sure but not sure on reel maybe a daiwa emcast the saltiga might blow out the budget a bit
  16. looking to get a new set up for surf mullies, daiwa sensor and saltiga surf probly the best set up in my eyes, might look at spending a bit less than what that would cost any ideas....
