  1. Anytime you want really Jim as I am now hooked on the subject. Just pm next time your thinking of heading down and I will certainly tag along if your up for teaching another newbie.I am over bream now My work lets me normally go out anytime unless I am seeing a client at night
  2. Rybak never fished the port and wouldn't even know where to begin. The onk is great for me as its close by and my latest hobby is to catch a mully from there. Plently have done it and just not me.Also my 8yr daughter is now hooked and wants to see one caught. All she is ever saying is can we go fishing and even carries all the gear.
  3. Thanks Cal Really was thinking it was one but
  4. Thinking mully as it just ran and no real shake at first like a bream.
  5. Was down the onk at shopping trolley alley
  6. Ok I have been trying to catch a Mully for the last few nights and think I am doing something completely wrong.Basically used a tommie tonight as live bait (Couldn't get a legal mullet) and a hook in the mouth and another in the back. I got a hit with about 10 second run and I then slowly started the pressure, but after a few seconds went slack. The bait was chopped in half and I am thinking it was a mully but not sure. I threw it back out and after 10minutes same sort of thing and this time only the head left.Is this a mully or am I getting crabs. Rod bent a fair way and line spooling off for
  7. Awesome stuff and as jack said love watching your videos
  8. Was in anglers choice the other day and they had some nice combos on a budget, they seem alot cheaper than Kmart on some of there Xmas specials. Worth a look if your down Christies way
  9. Ok just wondering if anyone can give some understanding how the tides work in the onk.I know the tide normally runs 2hrs behind, but I can't work out the river.A high tide doesn't always appear to be a high tide and I can't always work out the best times in the onk. Also does anyone know why after a good rain the next day it seems like it has dried out.Any tips on understanding how the tides really work in the onk
  10. Bream take to that lure and Kmart do a similar one, but no where near the same.Basically cast, wait 5 seconds and retrieve pausing slowly and pause a number of times coming in. Bream love them if they around and in the mood. Just make sure they are retrieving correctly as it is on the pause you will get hit.
  11. Awesome stuff and I knew when I left that afternoon you guys would have some fun.Look out for me in the next few days on my new yak and prob will be trying myself Saturday
  12. Well done and I reckon I seen you guys heading out as I passed your car by the jetty on the way to the onk for a session. Trying to work out where you were in the video and looks like A top spot to be fishing. Is that to the right of the jetty somewhere.
  13. Well done and looking at the tides thinking Friday night might be good.I reckon those blokes were in hobies as I seen them as I was driving out.Gotta catch One for myself soon or later
