  1. Freeze them green. Do not shell them either. Only clean when thawed and they will be fine to cook after. I have stockpiled mine to make up chilli crabs and they work a treat this way. They are like prawns. You can freeze prawns green and they turn out alright, same goes with the blueys.
  2. Cheapest Melter that I have found is an old aluminium pot. Much better than any cast iron post as the lead does not stick to the aluminium pot. Picked up my pot from an Op shop for $5 and works very well.
  3. Looks like a grey carpet shark. Wobbegongs have a whiskery mouth. Seven gill sharks have small spots.
